Parent Training — Equipping Every Hero Parent
You're already the hero in your child's story. We'll give you the tools to feel that way. Hands-on training in practical ABA strategies, taught with patience and zero judgment.

Practical strategies for real life.
Nobody prepared you for this. No parenting book covered it. No one told you that you'd become a researcher, an advocate, a behavior analyst, a therapist, and a parent — all at once. You've been figuring it out one hard day at a time, and you've been doing it with extraordinary love. Parent training at Hero isn't about telling you what you've been doing wrong. It's about taking the instincts and love you already have and giving them a set of tools that actually work.
Hero parent training isn't a lecture — it's a partnership. We meet you where you are, observe your daily routines, and teach strategies that fit naturally into your family's rhythm.
From reinforcing communication to navigating challenging behaviors with calm and confidence, you will gain skills that make every interaction a step toward heroic independence.

Questions about parent training
What is parent training at Hero?+
Parent training is hands-on coaching that equips you with practical ABA strategies to use at home. We teach techniques for communication, behavior support, and daily routines — so heroic progress continues even when the therapist isn't there.
How often does parent training happen?+
Training sessions are flexible and tailored to your family's schedule. Many families meet with their BCBA weekly or biweekly for 30–60 minutes, though frequency is adjusted based on your child's plan and your needs.
What skills do parents learn?+
You will learn how to reinforce positive behaviors, manage challenging moments with compassion, prompt communication and independence, and create routines that support your child's heroic growth. Every strategy is practical and designed for real family life.
Can siblings or caregivers join?+
Absolutely. Heroes are surrounded by a team — siblings, grandparents, nannies, and other caregivers are welcome. We adapt training so every adult in your child's life feels confident and prepared.
What if I feel like I'm doing everything wrong?+
You're not — and that feeling itself is proof of how much you care. Parent training at Hero isn't about judgment. It's about building on what's already working and adding practical tools for what isn't. You will leave every session feeling more capable, not more criticized.
I'm exhausted. Will this add to my load?+
We hear this from almost every hero parent. Our sessions are designed to fit into your life, not stack on top of it. We observe your real routines and teach strategies that make your days easier — not harder.
The most powerful autism support happens at home.
Parent training is one of the most evidence-backed components of high-quality ABA therapy. When caregivers learn the same Applied Behavior Analysis strategies their child's BCBA and behavior technicians use, progress stops being something that only happens during sessions — it becomes part of everyday family life.
Our in-home ABA therapy programs include hands-on parent coaching as a core element of autism support. Together we'll practice reinforcement, prompting, communication, and behavior strategies inside the routines that matter most to you: mealtimes, transitions, bedtime, school mornings, sibling play, and community outings. You'll leave each session with practical tools you can use immediately.
Whether your family is just starting their ABA journey or looking to strengthen the skills you already have, Hero's parent training meets you where you are — patient, respectful, and grounded in your child's unique strengths.
